SMARTSFEST - Schools Meet Arts at the Festival

Our education programme is filled with fantastic opportunities for primary and secondary school students and teachers to engage with dance, theatre, music and visual arts across the curriculum.
The maladies of modern life; friendship and betrayal; language and communication; families; immigration history; and of course, love, are some of the themes resonating through this programme.

We have...
Two dedicated schools shows - both from Scotland - travelling to regional centres around Auckland:

  • The Man Who Planted Trees - primary students
  • The Ballad of Pondlife McGurk - intermediate and secondary

Schools-only performances of these dynamic home-grown shows:

  • The Factory, Hou, Hui, I,George Nepia, Leo

Discounted tickets for secondary schools for the following public shows:
