When the Gods Came Down to Earth is a stunning video
work at the crossroads of ancient myth-making and modern
technologies. Filmmaker and artist Srinivas Krishna has drawn on
the stories he learnt as a child in India, of Gods and Goddesses,
humans and demons, and the populist imagery known as 'Calendar
art.' Using classical dancers and luscious visual effects his
work brings to life some of the most iconic images of Indian
mythology.
