7 months agoYeah!! Auckland Arts Festival was voted METRO 'Event of the Year'. The Breath of the Volcano show by Groupe F in front of the Auckland Museum was among the METRO 'Favourite Shows'. The team at AAF is grateful for the contribution of all performers, funders, sponsors, patrons, and, of course, all audience members for making it such a successful event.
10 months agoThe 2013 Auckland Arts Festival Review has now been published and illustrates in figures and with images the success and impact of this year's Festival.
The Festival Review gives an overview of:
- the audience profile and attendance statistics
- 2013 Festival events with great images
- Corporate and philanthropic partnerships,
- the SmartsFest education program,
- the Marketing and Communications campaigns and
- 2013 sponsorships and how to become a sponsor for future Festivals.

It's Valentine’s Day this week and all thoughts turn to love. Love in all its guises. And age is not a barrier. As a long-time married woman (it’s our 28-year anniversary during the Festival), I love it when my husband Gregg surprises me.

Hasn’t the weather been fabulous? Hope all the Aucklanders had a good anniversary day – I swam, ate pippis and enjoyed being at home with my husband.
It reminded me of my childhood of hot endless summers, and I thought back to those days in West Auckland when I lived in Titirangi and my Mum had a dance school that spread all over this city, from Papatoetoe to the North Shore and Henderson.
